Sourcing with Purpose, Transparency, and Integrity
At Merck and Tuluri, we don’t just buy ingredients — we build relationships. Our supply chain starts on the ground, with smallholder farmers, wild foragers, and family-owned producers who share our passion for quality
and authenticity. Every product we offer is traceable, seasonal, and carefully selected for flavor and impact.

How we source wild blue fenugreek from the
Caucasus mountains
High in the Caucasus mountains, wild blue fenugreek grows in untouched meadows where the soil is rich and the air is crisp. Each season, local foragers carefully collect the seeds by hand, following traditions passed down for generations. After harvesting, the seed is gently dried in the mountain breeze to preserve its unique aroma and flavor. This careful process allows us to bring the rare, authentic taste of the Caucasus to your table.

The small co-op behind our signature Tkemali
sauce ingredients
At the heart of our Tkemali sauce is a small cooperative of growers and foragers in rural Georgia. Working together as families and neighbors, they cultivate wild plums, handpick fresh herbs, and follow age-old methods to ensure every ingredient keeps its natural character. By supporting this co-op, we not only preserve authentic flavors but also help sustain local traditions and livelihoods.
